Global Dynamic Systems Centre Working Paper SeriesThis working paper series is the initiative of the Global Dynamic Systems Centre, which was established in 2007. The Centre is concerned with the development of realist economic theory and its application to human societies in the past and present. This work is contributing to a growing body of international research in theoretical areas such as realist dynamics, complexity, and biotransition; and in applied areas such as economic development (China, Japan, and India), institutional change (central banking, and cultural constraints), Australian economic strategy and performance, and macroeconomic policy (inflation targeting, and climate change). Any enquiries about the Centre or the working paper series can be directed to Professor Graeme Snooks at graeme.snooks@anu.edu.au follow the above link to access the Global Dynamic Systems Centre Working Papers Centre for Economics Policy Research (CEPR) Discussion Paper SeriesThe Centre for Economic Policy Research Discussion Papers series began with the founding of the Centre in 1980. The Discussion Papers are intended to make available to a wider audience studies of relevance to economic policy undertaken by staff, visitors and students of the Economics Group. The series also includes papers that have been presented at conferences held under the auspices of the Centre. The Discussion Papers up to and including DP 368 were published in printed form and copies are held by many university libraries in Australia and overseas. Papers published from DP 369 onward are available only in PDF format as files that can be downloaded from this web site. The copyright of the Discussion Papers is held by the authors. The papers may be downloaded, displayed and printed for personal, non-commercial use only. Requests for any other use of this material should be addressed to the authors. Requests for copies of earlier papers and any enquiries should be directed to The Publications Officer by email: cepr@anu.edu.au. A photocopy charge of $10 per paper may be levied for papers which are out of stock. Once requested and scanned, these older papers will be available for download at the bottom of this page.
