Academic Profile:
Kieron Meagher's research applies microeconomic theory to understanding situations that are more complex than can be described by a traditional price mechanism. Kieron's three main current areas of research are: the economics of organisations, in particular (i) management decision-making and authority structures; (ii) spatial competition and location theory; and (iii) political economics and voting theory. The techniques employed in this research include incentive theory, hierarchy theory, discrete choice theory, Bayesian decision making and uncertainty, graph theory and the numerical simulation of complex systems.
