Research Interests:

Labour economics, behavioural economics and the economics of the household.  Current and recent research covers laboratory and field experiments to test behavioural hypotheses about gender differences; intergenerational transmission mechanisms and child development; partnered life satisfaction; personnel economics (including promotion, performance-related pay and career development); the economics of work-related training and education; flexible forms of work; the micro-economic analysis of trade unions; employment protection; monopsonistic competition; academic labour markets.
